Launched in 2026, the Family Math Core Competencies offer a research-based framework aligned with the Family Engagement Core Competencies to help educators and community partners recognize, strengthen, and build on the everyday math learning families already foster at home across four domains: reflect, connect, collaborate, and lead alongside families. The Family Math Playbook is a practical resource designed to help schools, districts, and organizations build, strengthen, and sustain family math initiatives. Featuring twelve interconnected domains across four stages of organizational growth, the Playbook provides actionable guidance, tools, and examples to help embed family math into programs, policies, and organizational practices.
