Generative AI is promising to reshape education, while many of us are still trying to understand it better—parents and educators alike. That’s why partnering with families is essential: When we help students navigate the benefits and risks, they can make the most of AI for educational and creative purposes.
In this session, co-presented by Common Sense Education and NAFSCE’s Center for Family Math, we’ll discuss how educators can have meaningful conversations with parents and caregivers about AI’s ethical implications, data privacy concerns, and academic integrity. Participants will leave able to:
- Explain what AI is and how students are using it in and out of the classroom
- Share AI literacy resources with families, including practice dilemmas and scenarios to discuss with kids
- Develop and communicate your school’s policy or guidelines
Join us to gain strategies and tools you can use immediately to start tackling this hot topic with your community.
